Experience: Well developed eye for talent
As a long time U.S.E.T. Member, Gwen Blake, was long listed for 2004 Athens Olympic Games and was the 2003 South American Coach for Pan-American Games in the Dominican Republic.
Gwen is also a U.S.D.F Bronze, Silver & Gold Medalist and was a Team Medalist for United States Pan-American Team in Dressage. She has also competed Grand Prix Dressage nationally and internationally with 20 years experience at the international levels. Gwen has trained and competed extensively in Open and CDI on the West coast, East Coast and in Europe.
Successes: Over 12 horse trained up through the levels to GP.
As an instructor, Gwen has successfully coached students and horses through championship FEI levels and has instructed through Grand Prix. She accepts a limited number of new clients for private lessons. Gwen's training methods focus on the effective use of your aids and development of expression in your horse’s gaits. She teaches the use of correction versus punishing the horse an organized training method that brings out the expression, balance, strength and grace in the horse's way of going thus allowing her students to develop skill and confidence while simultaneously advancing competition skills and strategies.
